Visitors of the Photonics West 2011 Trade Fair in San Francisco Expressed Great Interest in SiC Mirrors Made by the optoSiC Company

Diverse International Fair Visitors
For the optoSiC company the annual Photonics West Trade Fair in San Francisco is a major laser industry event. The fair gave optoSiC opportunities to cultivate personal contacts with American customers and prospects. Many international fair visitors were also very eager to learn about the benefits and applications of the SiC scanner mirrors made by optoSic and attended the demonstrations with great interest.

Product Innovations are in High Demand
Visitors were particularly interested in using faster scanner mirrors to increase the performance of laser application. Our audiences always got quite animated and expressed their special appreciation when we explained how our mirrors significantly increase the cycle efficiency and decrease the process costs at the same time.

Our innovations attracted broad interest:

SiC Mirrors in our FLATS Series
Our SiC mirrors are made of the tried and tested optoSiC+ with a material thickness of only 1mm. These mirrors represent an alternative to the present mass market optic materials. The reduced mass and extreme stiffness of the optoSiC+ material provide customers with significantly faster first rate mirrors. We have very successfully started this new product series providing XY 10 mm and XY 15 mm sizes for standard applications with the option of customized designs.

SiC Mirrors XY 50 Generic
Starting in May 2011, optoSic will also offer a standard mirror for 50-mm applications. This mirror is an addition to our current SiC mirrors XY 10G, XY 15G, XY 20G and XY 30G. Thanks to the patented finned structure, top speeds are possible at a very small moment of inertia.

Customized SiC Mirrors
optoSiC’s core expertise in producing customized SiC mirrors also resonated very well with fair visitors. We design, develop and produce complex SiC mirrors according to customer specifications. The customer gets the mirror, which is most suitable for the planned application.

SiC Components
This was the first time we also showed our new components made of the optoSiC+ material. The exhibited satellite component was specifically made for one of our customers. The model application demonstrated our great depth of skill and expertise to trade fair visitors.

The optoSiC company appreciates the interest of all visitors to our trade fair stand. We thank you and hope to enjoy the same great resonance at the upcoming LASER 2011 trade fair in Munich from May 23 - 26, 2011.
